Resound Linx Quattro 5 RIC Hearing Aid – Mid‑Tier Receiver‑in‑Canal
Hey there! Let’s dive into the Resound Linx Quattro 5 RIC—a great hearing aid from ReSound, a Danish brand under the GN Group, shaping hearing tech since 1869. Launched in 2018 as part of the LiNX Quattro family, this Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) model sits discreetly behind your ear with the receiver in your canal, tailored for mild to severe hearing loss (20-100 dB). It’s rechargeable with a lithium-ion battery and follows ReSound’s Organic Hearing philosophy, blending natural sound with Bluetooth streaming. For anyone in Bangladesh wanting reliable audio with modern flair, this one’s a solid choice.
Key Features Of Resound Linx Quattro 5 RIC
What’s this one got in its toolkit? The Resound Linx Quattro 5 RIC , a mid-tier model (tech level 5), comes with 12 WARP™ processing channels—enough to tune sound nicely for your ears. It’s powered by the Quattro chip platform, featuring Binaural Directionality III for natural speech focus, Noise Tracker II for decent noise reduction, and Environmental Optimizer II to adjust to your surroundings automatically. You get Bluetooth for streaming from your phone or TV, a Tinnitus Sound Generator for ringing relief, and an IP68 rating (dust and moisture resistance) on most units. With up to 30 hours of battery life on a 3-hour charge and 4 programmable memories, it’s a practical, well-rounded package.
Why Choose Resound Linx Quattro 5 RIC?
Why go with this one? It’s a mid-tier RIC in the LiNX Quattro lineup—ideal if you’ve got mild to severe loss and want good sound without splurging on top-tier models. I love how Binaural Directionality III keeps speech clear while letting you hear what’s around, feeling pretty natural. Compared to the LiNX Quattro 7 (14 channels), the 5 has fewer channels and simpler noise handling, but it still packs Bluetooth and rechargeability—unlike older LiNX 3D models. That IP68 rating tackles Bangladesh’s humid, dusty days like a pro, and the rechargeable battery means no fussing with spares. If you want quality sound and connectivity on a budget, this hits the mark.
Performance in Different Environments
Picture yourself at home, chatting quietly—the LiNX Quattro 5 delivers clear sound with its 12 channels and Directionality focusing on voices. Now, imagine a noisy Chittagong street; its Environmental Optimizer II and Noise Tracker II help cut background noise, though it’s not as sharp as the Quattro 7 or 9 in loud chaos. It’s great for one-on-one talks or moderate settings, and Bluetooth streams calls or TV audio with decent clarity—ReSound claims 60% better speech recognition in noise from the front. That IP68 rating keeps it safe from sweat and dust, making it a dependable pick for Bangladesh’s humid, busy life—keeping you connected wherever you roam.

Benefits for Bangladeshi Users
This hearing aid’s got some neat perks for Bangladesh. The rechargeable battery lasts up to 30 hours on a 3-hour charge—plug it in overnight, and you’re good, even with patchy power. A 30-minute fast charge gives you 6 hours, perfect for quick top-ups. Its RIC design is discreet and comfy all day, great for humid climates, and that IP68 rating handles sweat and dust like a champ. Built for mild to severe loss, it offers clear speech and solid noise control with 12 channels—ideal for daily life. Bluetooth streaming adds a modern edge for calls or TV, and the Quattro chip’s 20% longer battery life means less charging. It’s a practical, mid-tier fit for life here.
Maintenance and Care
Keeping it in good shape is a breeze. Wipe it daily with a soft cloth—Bangladesh’s humidity and dust can build up, but IP68 has you covered. Charge it fully in 3 hours for 30 hours of use (or 30 minutes for 6 hours) with the portable charger—keep it dry and away from extreme heat. Every 6 months, drop by a Shono Bangladesh clinic for a pro clean or wax check—ears can get sneaky with debris. Store it in the case when not in use, and it’ll keep delivering clear sound for years, no tech hassles needed.
Conclusion
The Resound Linx Quattro 5 RIC is like a trusty, stylish pal for mild to severe hearing loss—discreet, powerful, and ready for Bangladesh’s daily grind.
