Phonak Audeo Paradise CROS P – Advanced Hearing Solution for One‑Sided Hearing Loss
Hey there! Let’s talk about the Phonak Audeo Paradise CROS P—a unique hearing solution from Phonak, a Swiss pioneer in hearing tech since 1947. This Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) device isn’t your typical hearing aid—it’s built for folks with unilateral hearing loss, meaning one ear hears fine while the other can’t be aided. Launched in August 2020 as part of the Paradise family, the CROS P sits behind your “deaf” ear, picks up sound, and sends it wirelessly to a compatible Audéo Paradise hearing aid on your good ear. It comes in two flavors: the rechargeable CROS P-R and the battery-powered CROS P-13 (using a Size 13 zinc-air battery). It’s perfect for anyone in Bangladesh wanting to hear from both sides without missing a beat.
Key Features Of Phonak Audeo Paradise CROS P
What’s this gadget all about? The Phonak Audeo Paradise CROS P uses Phonak’s Paradise tech to grab sounds from your weaker side and beam them to your better ear via a paired Audéo Paradise hearing aid (like the P90, P70, etc.). It’s got Binaural VoiceStream Technology for seamless sound transfer, AutoSense OS 4.0 for smart sound adjustments, and universal Bluetooth connectivity to pair with phones, TVs, or other devices—up to eight devices, two at once. It includes tap control (on the rechargeable CROS P-R) for hands-free use, RogerDirect compatibility for noisy spots, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Available in 11 colors, it’s discreet and stylish—a specialized RIC that brings balance to your hearing.
Why Choose Phonak Audeo Paradise CROS P?
Why go for this? It’s a lifesaver if one ear’s out of commission. I love how it tackles single-sided deafness head-on—sound from your “dead” side gets routed to your good ear, so you’re not stuck turning your head all day. It’s not a standalone hearing aid; it needs a partner (like an Audéo Paradise P-R or P-13T), but that combo opens up a world of sound. The CROS P-R’s rechargeable battery lasts 12.5 hours, while the CROS P-13’s Size 13 battery stretches longer—great if chargers aren’t your thing. Compared to older CROS models, Paradise tech adds sharper sound and better noise handling, though newer Lumity CROS might edge it out. For Bangladesh’s busy streets or quiet chats, it’s a practical fix to hear from all angles.
Performance in Different Environments
Picture this: you’re at a family gathering, and someone’s chatting on your “bad” side—the CROS P grabs that sound and sends it to your good ear, keeping you in the loop without awkward repositioning. In a noisy Dhaka market, its AutoSense OS 4.0 and the paired hearing aid’s mics focus on speech, though it’s not as noise-crushing as a full P90 setup with Dynamic Noise Cancellation. It’s ace for one-on-one talks or small groups, with Bluetooth streaming calls or music to both devices in stereo—super handy for phone chats or TV time. Add a Roger mic in loud spots, and it’s even better. That IP68 rating handles rain or dust, making it a solid match for Bangladesh’s unpredictable vibes.

Benefits for Bangladeshi Users
This device has some killer perks for Bangladesh. If your good ear’s doing all the work, the CROS P balances things out—sound from your weak side isn’t lost anymore. The rechargeable CROS P-R lasts 12.5 hours (great for streaming), while the CROS P-13’s battery stretches up to a week—perfect if power’s unreliable. That IP68 rating stands up to monsoons and dust, and the RIC design keeps it subtle for social scenes. It’s made for unilateral loss, working with a paired hearing aid (sold separately) to deliver clear speech and noise handling, depending on the partner’s tech level (P90’s the best). Bluetooth connects to your phone or TV, and Roger mics boost noisy chats—ideal for life here, from quiet villages to bustling cities.
Maintenance and Care
Keeping it in tip-top shape is simple. Wipe it daily with a soft cloth—Bangladesh’s humidity can sneak in sweat or dust. For the CROS P-R, charge it overnight in the Phonak Charger Case for a full day’s use—about 3 hours for a full charge, or 30 minutes for a quick boost. For the CROS P-13, swap the Size 13 battery every 5-7 days—no charger needed. Store it away from extreme heat or water (beyond that IP68 limit), and you’re golden. Every 6 months, visit a Shono Bangladesh clinic for a pro clean or check—buildup can sneak up. Treat it well, and this CROS setup will keep you hearing strong for years.
Conclusion
The Phonak Audeo Paradise CROS P is like a trusty wingman for unilateral hearing loss—discreet, smart, and built for Bangladesh’s daily grind. It’s not a solo act; paired with an Audéo Paradise hearing aid, it tops older CROS models with better sound and noise control, all in a sleek RIC design. Whether you’re chatting in quiet rooms, braving noisy streets, or streaming audio, it keeps you connected from all sides. For a specialized hearing solution that fits your life and budget, this combo’s a standout—bringing balanced, quality sound to your world.
